GIVE YOUR BODY SOME CREDIT

Our bodies are intelligent and obedient. They work day and night, with or without our conscious awareness to keep us alive and carry us through our experience of life.

Every pound of body weight you store is there because at some point in your life, you asked your body to store it for you, whether consciously or unconsciously.  Every single physical sensation you experience is as a result of your body obediently reacting to stimuli.

Do you ever stand in front of the mirror, examining and critiquing your body? Next time you find yourself doing this, take a moment to consider the many ways your body has obediently stored fat, gained muscle, or excreted adrenaline on your behalf.

The way your body looks and responds today is because it has been utterly and totally obedient to everything you have ever asked of it through your eating habits, life choices, belief systems, and subconscious self talk.

When you are fearful or over tired, your body receives the message to store fat.  When you overload on calories, your bodies is being instructed to store fat.  When you exercise the message is to burn calories and build muscle. When you need extra energy your body obediently pulls from your adrenal glands to keep you active which in turn begins all manner of chemical processes inside you that effect everything from your digestion to pimples on your face.

When you force things upon your body, be it too much food, toxic chemicals, or some form of negativity, your body is required to respond in kind by storing fat, becoming ill or drawing on emotional energy stores.  If you want to change your diet, or your health, or even your outlook on life, you must give your body new directions if you want new results.

The state of your body today is the physical manifestation of the way that you have lived, the sum total of your life experiences and the choices you have made.

The good news is, your body is bound to be obedient to you.  It must listen. If you change what you feed it, your body will respond.  If you change your calorie intake, your fat storage will change.  If you lift weight, you will build muscle.  If you quit smoking, new lung cells will regenerate. If you separate yourself from negativity, your energy will become more balanced.

Your body is a magical creation, existing to serve you as your vehicle through this life. Every cell of your body is infused with the essence of your being.  You are in effect, in relationship with your body.  Your body was created to be healthy and it wants to be healthy.  Your body is at your command.

So much of the way you look, and your personal health is in your own hands, in a solid and tangible way. Too simple you say?  Perhaps it’s so simple we overlook the obvious while looking outside our own selves for a more sophisticated solution.

Give your body some credit.  Acknowledge its obedience and give it the directions you want it to take. Your body will obey you.
